Hello, Community!

Happy New Year from our little micro-bakery, Breaking Bread and Company! As we step into 2026, we’re excited to kick off our first blog post and welcome you into an inviting community centered around one of life's simplest yet most profound joys: sharing good bread.

At Breaking Bread and Company, our motto is “Good bread, Good Times, Community.” It’s not just a catchy phrase; it’s what drives everything we do. We believe that bread is more than just sustenance; it’s a central part of our social fabric—bringing families and friends together around the table, enriching conversations, and creating memories.

Why Sourdough?

Because it’s unique in its character—it's naturally leavened, has a delightful tangy flavor, and the long fermentation process not only enhances its taste but also makes it more gut-friendly. We use organic flour, water, and salt to craft our loaves; it’s about keeping things simple and wholesome.

When you take a bite of our crusty sourdough, you're not just tasting bread; you're experiencing care and tradition baked into every loaf. As we say around here, “breaking bread” is an invitation to connect with others and share in life's moments—big or small.

A Community Affair

This year, we’ll be sharing weekly blogs that will dive deeper into the world of bread, baking tips, recipes, and stories about the community we cherish. Each post will celebrate seasonal ingredients, upcoming holidays, menus and any special events planned for us. We can’t wait to involve you in our community initiatives, from local farmers’ markets to bread-making workshops.

As we kick off this blog series, we invite you to start the year by trying your hand at baking your own sourdough. We promise it’ll be a rewarding (and delicious) experience. We already have a Sourdough for Beginners Workshop planned for January 31.

Thank you for joining us on this adventure. We hope that each loaf we bake brings warmth and joy to your table. We can’t wait to break bread with you in 2026!

Warmly,

The Breaking Bread and Company Team
